Last week, Kaga ate his 1,999th dish cooked by an Iron Chef. As a result, he wants to commemorate the 2000th dish by having a special 2000th dish battle. He has two teams of chefs. On the All French team is team captain Sakai (restaurant: La Rochelle), former Iron Chef Ishinabe (restaurant: Queen Alice) and the "God of Sauces" Etsuo Jo (restaurant: Vincent). They sport snazzy matching blue, white and red outfits. The All Chinese team is headed by team captain Chin with Wakiya Yuji (restaurant: Turandot), who challenged Chin in Battle Papaya and Miyamoto Sozo, who also challenged Chin in Battle Carp. They sport matching yellow and white outfits. The theme ingredient is a bit different as Kaga chooses 3 of his favorite food items instead of just one. Also, Kaga made two giant platters and the food items were all arranged on this platters. The food items listed below are all mini courses.
